Dave, Jason, and sophie are taking a taxi at 7:30. we will have it waiting for them.
Everyone else will be getting taxis at 8am to be at the gig by 8:30am.
an ironing board is available on the 4th floor on the airport side. There appear to be none in the room.
update for march 13:
breakfast at rotisserie is included in your stay = hours: 6am to 10:30am
meet at 10:30 am thurs at the big airplane in the lobby for rehearsal.
we will have a cab for the ten minute drive. a few people are going earlier to set up.
meals outside of free breakfast and the meals we have together are up to you. Just save your receipts and keep it reasonably priced.
Our performance on march 14 starts with lounge music at 10:45, give or take.

UNLESS YOU PUT THE DO NOT DISTURB SIGN ON YOUR DOOR, YOU MIGHT GET HOTEL EMPLOYEES COMING IN TO CLEAN OR WHATEVER. SOMEONE IN OUR GROUP HAD AN UNEXPECTED VISITOR while they were sleeping after they checked in.
some of the hotel restaurants are closed. The only ones open are rotisserie where we had dinner (and will have our breakfast which is included with our stay) and there is food available in the bar. The hours for food and drinks at the bar are noon-11pm. There is a mcdonalds and grocery store (hours 6am-10pm) which is even open on Sundays at the airport. there is another hotel with a restaurant nearby. access this by going past the rotisserie restaurant, down one floor, go outside, and to to the right.
the "s bahn" tram from airport runs 24/7 except from 2am-5am if you want to go anywhere else.
there is one brochure in english that you will find in the lobby on a rack or at the front desk . There is tram map in it as well as a map of hannover. there is a small art exhibit outside the bar of our hotel.
remember we have a tour and pub crawl on March 15 at 4pm.

Dinner at 8pm tonight in restaurant just off the lobby-rotisserie.
about the hotel:
heating is central- can't be adjusted. if your room is too hot, just turn it off.
pool is heated. hours 6am-10pm access is to the right as you are exiting the hotel.

Dear Crusaders,
I will be flying from Geneva to Hannover tomorrow (Tuesday) night. I'll make certain everything is cool for a smooth check-in upon your arrival on Wednesday. The Maritim Hotel is right at the airport. It is a very easy walk, even with luggage. I will try to meet people at baggage claim, but it depends on how the ITU working party plenaries that are scheduled for Wednesday go - sometimes they are short, other times long.
Three points:
1) I'll arrange a dinner at the hotel restaurant for 8 PM on Wednesday. I invite and encourage you to attend.
2) Once again, we are a rock band so there is no dress code, come as you want. However, a Sonic Cusaders t-shirt is always a fashionable choice, especially for an occasion such as the city tour on Saturday.
3) For the tour on Saturday, we will take the train from the airport to downtown Hannover to arrive by 4 PM. Out front of the Hannover train station is a staute of a guy on a horse. We will meet our host, Dr. Andreas Wilzeck and his wife Ute and daughter Leone, at the tail of the horse. There is a tale to that tail that he tell us about. Andreas is my primary contact at Sennheiser, so please be nice to him and his family. In particular, I kindly request the Sonic Sisters be warm to 16 year-old Leone. I think she would be mesmorized by any attention you provided. Many thanks.

Joe said we should be ok with the strikes in germany.
the hotel is pretty much right at the airport. Joe said we shouldn't have any trouble finding it and can just walk to it even with luggage.
hopefully we won't need to buy internet service since we have it at the hotel where we will be most of the time. If you have any trouble, try using whats app.

our hotel rooms have been confirmed and joe will be making sure all is good since he will be there a day early. he said he's never had a problem at this hotel. I will also check when I get there early on March 12th. I haven't been given confirmation numbers, but they are reserved under your names.
